FAQs

Does A-List status waive the oversize fee?

No. While A-List members get free standard bags, the $200 oversize surcharge still applies to bags over 62 inches.

Can I avoid the fee by repacking?

Yes! If your bag is overpacked, redistributing items to another bag under 62 inches avoids the surcharge.

What if my bag is 62.5 inches?

Anything over 62 inches triggers the fee. Even 62.1 inches would incur the $200 charge.

Do military members pay oversize fees?

Active-duty military can check bags up to 80 inches at no charge with military ID.

Is the fee charged each way?

Yes, the $200 surcharge applies per bag per flight segment, so you'd pay it both ways on a round trip.
